A Change of Theme? Is It Needed?

I was speaking to a few individuals on dA yesterday, and they told me they would not join this forum because of how semiprofessional it looks. So I wanted to opinions of you guys, should we try to make it more professional looking? And if so, how?

Im not much of a graphic designer, so Im not sure how you would go about making it "professional".
